THIS ABSOLUTLY FANTASTIC BOX SET HAS NOT ONLY THE CLASSICS BUT ALSO SOME OF THE TRACKS JOHN LEE HOOKER DID AS OTHER NAMED ARTIST - LIKE JOHN LEE BOOKER - TEXAS SLIM - JOHNNY WILLIAMS - FROM JOHN'S 1ST RECORDING IN SEPTEMBER 1948 IN DETROIT TO JUST BEFORE HE DIED COLLABORATING WITH MANY FAMOUS ARTISTS LIKE VAN MORRISON - ERIC CLAPTON - RY COODER - CARLOS SANTANA - ROBERT CRAY & ALSO A HAUNTING VERSION OF "MEAN MEAN WORLD WITH HIS DAUGHTER ZAKIYA.

ALSO THERE ARE 3 SONG FROM THE IMMORTAL RECORDING IN 1970 WITH CANNED HEAT & FITO DE LA PARRA HAS A WHOLE PAGE TRIBUTE TO JOHN WITH A VERY MOVING TESTEMENT TO JOHN'S LAST LIVE PERFORMANCE WHICH FITO PLAYED WITH JOHN & THIS BROUGHT ME TO TEARS !!
