I randomly picked this up in a bookstore and started flicking through...after reading a few reviews of courses I've played, I agreed with so many that I bought it! The author clearly knows what makes a good, memorable course, and doesn't pander to anyone, and I enjoy reading other people's opinions on courses and contrasting them with my own. I particularly like his review of the K-Club, which describes it as "pretentious" - exactly the word I would use for this overpriced, overhyped, and, up until recently, absurdly expensive track. As well as ratings of all the well-known courses her in Ireland, there are hundreds of reviews of little-known courses that have certainly stoked my curiosity. A cracking little book both as a planning guide and an enthusiast's read.
