There's more to Hook than meets the eye. Enid Blyton wrote her first book here in 1922 and I have been elated to have finally discovered the home in Hook Road of Thomas Hardy. He lived here when Far From The Madding Crowd was published in book form in 1874. There's a picture of his house.
