It all started early last year when i bought their debut album and from that moment i became the biggest fan of these two twins. Secret life of was simply one of the best album i had heard (judge all you want) but it's one of my favourite albums.
A year later came hook me up. This is what i think track by tack.
1. Untouched - This song is big, it's pretty epic rock/pop/electro clash with the typical veronicas smashing chorus. 9/10
2. Hook me up - When i first heard this i wasn't blow away in fact i thought nooo what have they done, then i gave it a few spins and fell in love with the infectious beats and catchy chorus but this is probably one of the weaker songs on the album. 8/10
3. This is how it feels - This is how electrock should sound, smashing through from start to finish and i mean SMASHING and they swear ommm. 10/10
4. This love - 80's movie soundtrack much? Yes it does sound pretty dated and kinda cheesy BUT that is what i LOVE about it. Very retro. 9/10
5. I can't stay away - This is a bit filler a nice song but it doesn't jump out at you neither is it terrible just not as good as the rest of the songs. 7/10
6. Take me on the floor - Rude. Totally awesome though, i love how their voices blend so well together and the beats just mix so well with it. 8/10
7. I don't wanna wait - I wasn't sure about this at first but this song is a grower much like "i can't stay away". This is actually the twins favourite song on the album. 7/10
8. Popular - I LOVE the lyrics to the song and the beat is funky but some how the song falls kinda short, it is growing on me slightly but this is the weakest song on the album. 5/10

This is a very great collection of songs that are a fusion of dancepop, 80's music, and 90's music that works in perfect harmony. There are songs for different moods. For example, there is "Untouched" and "Take me to the floor" for those in a romantic and/or lustful state of mind. "Hook Me Up" is a strong musical number about someone wanting to just get away and have fun, and how they are open to experiencing this from many angles due while working out the social issue of fitting in. "I Can't Stay Away" is about someone getting sexually addicted to someone else,and frequently coming back to them because of it. "Popular" is a very creative song about how the whole concept of being well liked can permeate the image of a person and those around them. The rest of the songs on the cd are very good as well, and have a fun fusion of pop, 80's music, and 90's music (such as the very daring "This is How it Feels"). My two favorite songs on this cd are "Untouched" and "Hook Me Up". I read online an implied possibility that the Veronicas are going to release a new album in the first quarter of 2011. If this is true, then I definitely intend to get the collection because of this cd having very fun and high-energy songs.

I regularly listen to this. Hook me up is a great girls song. Loved untouched & that was the reason I bought it. I like the rest of the album too.

I first heard the Veronicas via a movie soundtrack and loved there sound so went to see more by them and came across there first album The secret life of...and i loved there sound these girls can rock!
There are some real catchy tunes on this album and will defiantly have you rocking out.....If you loved there first album you will love this one here are some of my fave tracks from the album
1. Untouched -(Single)
2. Hook Me Up -----> this will no doubt be a single!

I am on my dad's account,and I am a teenager so this is from a teenager.For the first time ever I didn't have to skip a song on my mp3 player.I love all the songs in the album!This album is definitely more poprock than the previous one.My personal favourites are Hook Me Up,Popular,Untouched and 4ever (Which was in the previous album I think!)
