I couldnt put this book down.. the author Ayse Onal is a remarkable writer..with a deep understanding of the subject. I felt as if I was in the room when she interviewed the sad men who killed and how their culture had turned them into murderers..
I felt I was being taken back in history.. but no, its happening all around us.. young women all over the world are being killed in the name of honour.. Mainly written about Turkish Men it still gives an insight, of whats happening all around us. Indeed even here in the UK. As a mother I am still at a loss to understand.... How any one could kill their own child.. no matter what.. Dont miss this informative well written book.

a very sad book especially for the women on the receiving end of this very extreme culture where killing women appears to be the only intervention to solve trivial problems which in the west these problems are considered a normal part of growing up these women dont have a normal happy life they appear to be totally controlled like robots by the males in the family. when will this culture start moving with the times and what right do they have to kill the females in thier family .
