I found this much easier to use than the real Rough Guide & used it a lot during my trip. If you're looking for a similar "bite sized" travel book, I relied mainly on the Lonely planet Hong Kong encounter, which came with a really usefull pull out map. I'd opt for either of those rather than the the big Rough Guide based on my own experiences.

A neat, pocket sized guide that covers the essentials for a weekend; but really falls short on the mapping. It has very small local maps included in the text, but these are difficult to follow when walking as they omit many streets, only name some streets and do not join up.
It also seemed out of date, a couple of restaurants had vanished and new roads built, but of course Hong Kong is changing so quickly that this must be a problem that any guide faces.
