I had a similar problem to mitch7. In my case I had to set it to 17degC for it to switch at 22degC.
It's simple to fix but make sure the mains power is off first. Undo the screw at the top and remove the front facia. The control knob easily pulls off. Replace it so that it shows the correct temperature. Job done !!
It would seem that Honeywell simply push the knob on and don't check the temperature at which it switches, naughty.

Bought this as a replacement for existing Honeywell Room Stat as the thermocouple had broken. Works as well as is former model and was very easy to install.

I bought this to replace one that had broken. The same breakdown could potentially occur: a crack in the rotating section which prevents it turning the control. This can only happen though if something bangs into it so be careful when doing furniture removing or having a boisterous game.
