i bought this fan for the summer but have been using it lately for the few hot days the uk has had lately and what i can say is it has more than dealt with the heat on all occasions.

it has 3 speeds and i have only ever needed the 2nd i have tried all 3 and i can say that the 3rd setting is very brisk at about 5-10 meters away as i only live in a small flat.

the fan itself is a great size and east to store away like i said i live in a small flat s this was a must have feature.

over all for the price its well worth it and a very good appliance

also the 3 year warranty is a great bonus.

My last tower fan was a generic own brand one from a well known DIY chain store. I had only had it for a year or so and I never really was overly happy with it right from the start - the speed control always seemed to be more of a volume control than anything else and after clunking and grinding away for the last month it has finally given up the ghost and stopped working altogether.

After hunting around for a new fan I was very very tempted by the Dyson Air Multiplier but after much consideration decided that I really could not justify spending that much, so the hunt continued. I still wanted a well known named brand rather than another generic no brand one and eventually came across this model.

I have to say that this fan has immediately impressed me on the hottest weekend of the year so far!

Assembly is simple. The only thing to attach is the base which comes in two parts and is attached with four cross head screws. Make sure you get the power lead exiting the base at the back, unlike me who had to take it off and turn it round!

The power lead is a sensible length (around 5 feet) and when plugged in and turned on I was immediately impressed with how much breeze the fan creates at even the lowest setting. The noise level is not too bad either, it is not silent (no fan is) but it is definitely quieter than my last one. I also happen to quite like the white noise a fan generates and find it helps me sleep. It looks good in my bedroom too!

This is also the first fan I have ever had that has a remote control. The control is simple to use and comes complete with two AAA batteries.

Looks good, provides a nice cooling breeze, and I particularly like the timer feature so you can go to sleep with it on, knowing it'll switch itself off after the set period.

I have bought one of these and I'm very impressed - you get a lot of options for the money. However my remote is working fine, so perhaps the previous reviewer has a dodgy one?

I bought this fan this time last year, and I was slightly concerned as it was (and still is) much cheaper than other highly rated options. I thought it might be better to spend more money if I was expecting to actually be cooled down! As it turns out, this fan is very effective as both cooling a room (on rotate) a single area (where you might be sitting) or the breeze setting which moves air around intermitantly. It's also very quiet, so whilst I don't use it in the bedroom, it wouldn't disturb your sleep if you did. The remote control
Is also helpful, and sits neatly in a slot on the top when not in use. It was a godsend last summer, and as I've just started using it this year I thought I would write a review to help others out.

I've not had the fan for long so i am not sure how well it performs over time however the fan is compact, effective and quiet which is all i was really looking for. The remote is a nice touch as well!

As you may know Honeywell make mainframe computers so I expected them to know a thing or two about air cooling systems. I was right. This tower air cooler is reasonably quiet, particularly at the low setting. It oscillates or can be used in a static direction and distributes cool air efficiently. It has a breeze simulation function where it stops intermittently but I don't use that as it goes silent when the breeze "stops" and I found myself waiting for it to start again so I just use it on the oscillating function. Nice design especially where the remote control fits in an indent on the top of the machine. No excuse for losing it!

Started 'SQUEAKING' after month, every effort so far that has been tried, unsuccessful, drastic surgery necessary needed. This will be done, IT WILL SUCCUMB, alternative fan being used in meantime.
Definitely a very 'trying' purchase, therefore-CANNOT RECOMMEND!!!
