Book Description

Contemporary Romance Honeymoon For One

To escape local gossip, jilted bride Michelle Bradford embarks on her honeymoon cruise —alone. Coaxed by a thrill seeking hunk she never expects to see again, she slowly sheds her good girl persona to have some well deserved fun.

But unlike Vegas, what happens on the high seas doesn't always stay there.

More about the contemporary romance Honeymoon For One:

Chris Keniston's love of a good story and frustration with the end of a well known author's romance best seller, drove her to pen her own works of romance and fiction.

The popular themes of second chances, small town, family, and cruise ship fun, blended with the story of a jilted bride and friends to lovers workplace romance have kept Honeymoon For One on the Kindle ebook best seller lists and made this contemporary romance a reader's choice.

Chris invites you to sit back on a lazy afternoon, kick your shoes off, put your feet up, and join her for a few hours with laughter, love and even a few tears, in the world she's created for Michelle and Kirk. (P.S. The scene in last chapter at the office is her favorite, too.)

About the Author

A native New Yorker, Chris Keniston was on her way to Australia when she fell in love with North Texas. Little did she know the balmy seventy degree October days would turn into fry-an-egg-on-the-sidewalk heat in August! Twenty years later, she started scribbling short stories about her favorite TV shows, giving them lives more to her liking - and the elusive happy ending. Not long after, a dear friend dragged her to a local writer's meeting. After winning multiple writing contests and finaling in the prestigious Golden Heart Contest, Chris has penned five contemporary novels and now spends her days, and nights, writing contemporary romantic fiction with lots of emotion and plenty of surprises - and of course - the happily ever after. Chris lives in suburban Dallas with her husband, two human children, and two canine children. Though she loves her puppies equally, she admits being especially attached to her German Shepherd rescue named Gunny. After all, even dogs deserve a happily ever after.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice easy romance 12 July 2013
By Deborah TOP 500 REVIEWER
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Three days before Michelle's wedding her fiancé Steven, now goes by the name Rat Bastard, and her best friend and maid of honor Beth announce they're leaving for Vegas to get married. Michelle is cohersed into taking the honeymoon cruise alone by her friends Angie and Pam, after all as they point out its a small town and she doesn't want to be sat around waiting for the happy couple to return does she. Michelle who's parents died seven years ago has taken over the job of raising her sister Corrie, dropping out of college and getting a full-time job, she's old before her time and decides now's the time to kick loose and live a little, if only for afew days she can be someone else, someone fun. So new fun sexily dressed Micki meets Kirk and sparks fly after all it's not as if they'll ever see each other again.

This was a nice quick easy read, no real surprises but an enjoyable read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Really good. 11 Oct. 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This was really well written and a great story, although it did come to the conclusion of the book within only a very few pages, which I thought was a bit of a let down. For a free read, I would recommend it.

2.0 out of 5 stars Gave up 10 Jan. 2015
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This "romance" was remarkably lacking in any actual romance, and really doesn't fit into the basic genre requirements. Rule number one - hero and heroine should meet very quickly (in media res). Instead the heroine talks to her friends, goes shopping, etc., for endless pages first. Rule number two - couple should immediately start engaging one another (either via the old standard of squabbling, or via some quality getting to know you chat). Instead the reader gets to watch them make small talk, which was as boring to read as it must have been for the protagonists. Then they have sex (off stage) and go their separate ways for a couple more chapters. I gave up at that point.

2.0 out of 5 stars Ok 31 Aug. 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book could have been a really good read but the characters weren't developed right. Firstly her best friend had an affair with her fiancee, I think she had a right to be angry about it and should have been written in the book with more detail, getting over it, going on the trip and findings Kirk it was all to quick,it felt rushed not believable for me. Second her sister was nearly eighteen it felt like she was younger with no brain. I couldn't give this book any more stars it wasn't good.
