The Many Uses of Honey 20 Jun. 2010
By ubalu - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
This book has interesting information most people may not be aware of. The author, a beekeeper himself, is very knowledgeable and presents many ideas, some of which are backed by scientific studies. In simple, readable style, he includes everything from the history of honey to practical uses. Sections on the composition, types of honey, health benefits, therapeutic use for different conditions, health and beauty uses, are very informative. The chapter on The Joy of Honey includes toxic and gourmet honeys and other products of bees, how to buy and store honey, and most of all, a few honey recipes. A long list of resources are given at the end of the book.

A very useful reference book.

Sweet Book 17 Nov. 2009
By Gabby - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
This book is well organized and easy to use. It is a great hand book size, so you can read it straight thru or use it as a reference. It addresses several ailments such as burns, hangovers and even cancer. It dispells a few myths and tells you how you can store your honey. I found it to be very helpful in my efforts to find natural alternatives for treating my family.

Not what I expected. 29 Aug. 2004
By J. Manly - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
Had I not first seen this book advertised in Science News, a peer-reviewed periodical published under the auspices of AAAS (American Association for the Advancement of Science), I would probably not had considered this as anything more than another "fake science" book. I was pleasantly surprised.

The author presents interesting ideas developed in interesting ways, with some reasonably well done scientific work to back up his positions. Worth the time and thought it takes to read.

Sweet Info 9 Dec. 2010
By Michael - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
The book is an easy read, and rather vague. However, the book does refer to websites where you may be able to find more information. I would've liked a little more details. Half of this book is the author's bibliography. The book itself is only 100 pages. So go figure, that makes only 50 pages of information. In my mind this does not qualify as a book, but rather a handout.

The value in this book is the referral to the websites.

A great little resource for uses of honey 24 April 2012
By Annie M daffodils - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
This is a very good book about uses for honey; from cosmetic to curative and everything in between. It also gives information on types of honey, different bee products (beeswax, etc.)
My husband and I are "sold" on honey as a substitute for table sugar and are happy to have this book with the uses and benefits of honey.
