Both my children have loved making the biscuits following the recipe in the book. Really Lovely!

Great for young and slightly older children,

This review is from: Honey Biscuits (Picture Books) (Paperback)
I read this book with my four year old and found it delightful. Engaging story and illustrations. Plenty of interest for the pre-reader or beginner. My other son (12 yrs) was also interested. Then we all made the biscuits, which was easy and fun.

Great story, so-so cookbook,

This helps open up a young one's mind to the complex origins of the foods we eat. The story is simple, the sentences are uncomplicated. However, the recipe required longer sustained attention than my daugther was able to sustain at age four. She has difficulty stirring--perhaps weak arm strength. So, she wasn't able to participate in such a way that cooking was made fun. Too bad...The recipe is very tasty. I followed it to the letter. However, you need to eat the cookies while they are warm. After two days they get pretty hard and stale.
