"A funny and truly helpful look at what modern women may have forgotten (or just won't admit) about themselves.--Jane Buckingham, author of The Modern Girl's Guide to Life

Product Description

This book's author was interviewed in a woman's weekly magazine. He is the author of the bestseller "She Comes First". It is a response to the bestselling "He's just not that into you". Its reviews featured in women's magazines eg "Cosmo", "Elle", and "Grazia". Sex expert Dr. Ian Kerner teaches women how they can get the love and the sex they deserve. This is a confusing time for many women. On the one hand, there's a pressure to be sexually liberated and pursue pleasure for its own sake, and to have sex "like a man." On the other, there are deeply rooted biological and emotional factors that lead women to crave a committed, trustworthy relationship. The result? Many women, writes Dr. Ian Kerner, pursue dead-end relationships, fail to see the red flags and hope a "real" relationship might emerge from a meaningless one, and end up having their false hopes dashed when the guy in question makes it undeniably clear that his intentions are purely sexual and short-term. These days, writes Kerner, waiting to have sex on the third date is considered quaint and old-fashioned. As he did in his highly successful first book, "She Comes First", here Kerner decodes the way both genders look at sex and transient relationships, arming women with a better set of expectations and insights into turning the relationship into something more satisfying. With his characteristic humor and sincerity, Kerner levels with women about what's going on in the male mind, showing them how to stop the vicious cycle of one-night stands and purely sex-driven relationships, and create the committed relationships they're looking for.

I read this book being a single lady out in the scary dating scene, and found it to be very helpful. The writing style is a bit cheesy but the contents behind the cheese are indispensable. It talks about how women date men they are not that keen on "inbetweeners" because there is not a guy on the scene that they actually genuinely like. Unfortunately many women become emotionally attached and either stay with the loser, or the loser dumps them then they feel disheartened as he dumped them and they did not think that much of him to begin with! It gives you the strength and empowerment to say no to guys you know just are not good enough for you, and realise you do not need a man to be happy. Would recommend this book to every girl, but especailly to those stuck in a relationship with a guy they know just ain't what they really want and deserve.

I have enjoyed reading this book, it provides answers on issues that are not that easily found elsewhere...it would be difficult to get such a kind of insight from friends or even many psychologists.
It does explain very well on the twists and quirks of a single girls mind and I often found myself going just wow over the content, it is so spot on. I recommend the book for any woman out there who wants to find our more about herself and her sexuality...this kind of info really is rare and hard to find. It will make you better informed and equipped to deal with your own desires and needs, especially if you are a singleton looking for a partner (especially when you have hit 30 and are single). It is also very supportive and cheer upy, it does not put women down and as such can help you to get over some wrong men from your past.

I liked this book a lot. It's easy to read but gets straight to the point on the important issues. Helps you to understand why you end up missing/behaving stupidly over a loser you'd happily ignore a week or two before. Points out the pitfalls to avoid and how not to become entrenched or coerced into relationships that are going nowhere.
