Book Description

Aug 2002 The O'hurleys
Second Nature

Getting an exclusive interview with notoriously reclusive horror writer Hunter Brown was all "Celebrity" magazine reporter Lee Radcliffe ever wanted. And when Hunter agrees to the interview on the condition that Lee conduct it on a camping trip, she can hardly refuse. But after spending some time alone with the seductively mysterious author, Lee discovers the only thing she wants exclusively is Hunter.

One Summer

A summer spent traveling across America with cynical, brooding photojournalist Shade Colby was not "Celebrity" photographer Bryan Mitchell's idea of a dream assignment. But Bryan will have to manage for an entire summer if she wants the fabulous cross-country photo shoot for a book, which they're both salivating over. However, Bryan and Shade disagree about "everything"--everything, that is, except the fierce attraction they have for each other....

2.0 out of 5 stars Nowhere near as good as her others 29 Feb 2004
By Natasha
Format:Mass Market Paperback
Having read nearly all of Nora Robert's other books, I found this one really disappointing. Perhaps because it was originally written for Silhouette books, it has a different tone from her other books. The books are obviously shorter, which naturally gives her less time to develop her characters (a real pity, as I think she could have done something really good with them). I just found I was left wanting more - something I've never felt with her other books. Of the two books, the second is much better, primarily because of the changing scenery (the characters follow a photo assignment across the US). It is for this reason I give it 2 stars rather than the one it probably deserves.

3.0 out of 5 stars Summer Pleasures re-issued as:- 26 Sep 2007
Format:Paperback
This was a really good read, while the characters might not have been as indepth as in more recent Roberts books they were sincere and likeable. The stories were linked by the characters being friends and it was nice to see the first flow into the second so you could catch up on the characters. These were originally shilloette individual releases then put together and re issued as Summer Pleasures which is happening alot with the older Roberts stories and can make it difficult to know if you've read them.

5.0 out of 5 stars I loved this book especially the second story 22 Feb 2011
Format:Paperback
Two very good stories, but the second story I really loved, the first story, Lee I was not to keen on, but in the second story Bryan, was Lee's closest friend, so the stories linked very nicely together, in the second story, it tied up loose ends from the first story of Lee and Hunter.

In the second story where Shade and Bryan who both had to travel together on an assignment as Photographers, travelled through different states of America for 3 months. Shade had his own demons to overcome, and Bryan was very independant. I was sorry when the story finished as I absolutely loved it, and the two characters. It was happy ending as usual with Nora Roberts books, but felt the romance in the second story was slightly different to her normal books.
