A wonderful mower which is eaxctly what the name implies - easy! After struggling for many years with mowers where buttons had to be pressed, handles had to be pulled and much shouting had to be done before the machine started, it is a great pleasure to have only to gently pull one starting handle for the mower to come to life. The engine note is a very satisfying one which never appears to change and the pulling power is good even on this small machine. The recommendations are that it is suitable for 'a half tennis court sized lawn'. My lawn is about one tennis court and I have no trouble with the time taken or the quality of cut.
It is not a cheap machine and I did not get mine from Amazon as the local dealer had (or has) a Honda promotion of £75.00 cash back on the mower priced at £450. But the word about owners and dealers is that Honda reliabilty is worthy of the extra cost, the comment of "you will not be dissapointed" was heard many times in calls made to dealers (Honda and otherwise). But why no reviews on this and other sites??
The operation is easy, except for one aspect of the 'drive' lever which needs pulling to the handlebar in the same way as the lever needed to maintain power to the machine. Personally I would prefer a small lever on the side bar as I found that holding one bar and the having to push another up to it does occasionally trap the thumb.

These mowers are fantastic, easy to use and empty, quiet, fast, cut like a dream, leave stripes, infact there is nothing bad I can say about them!
I'm on my second Izy mower, the first lasted 10 years and I could have it fixed if I wanted to but it wasn't cost effective in my line of work(I'm a small scale professional gardener, so it was used 4-6 days a week in rain and sun) I've had previous mowers last less than a couple of years that have cost more.Incidentally,Spare parts are easily obtainable online or through dealers.
I consider the Honda range as the 'Rolls Royce' of mowers as they really are built with the job in mind.They just feel sturdy and tough and with the self propelled option, they just glide effortlessly across the lawn. The grass compacts well into the box, which is very easy to empty with its 2 handles.The start system is great, almost as easy as a key start just prime the engine if it's cold,push the lever to choke and one pull of the starter and its running.
I cannot recommend these mowers enough,I know they are pretty expensive but you do get what you pay for! A quality product that's built to last.

I have taken a long time to review this item as i bought in the winter and, up untill recently it's been stored in the garage. This mower is strong, sturdy and easy to use. it has a petrol tap so you can turn the petrol off totally which some mowers do not have. As this is a 4 stroke engine you can just put the oil in as is, rather than mucking about with it as you have to with a 2 stroke. It also has an automatic choke so no messing about there either.It has a nice light mesh grass collecter box,which is easy to clip on and off. Being self propelled makes it a dream if your lawn is uneven or on a slope. It is dearer than other mowers but worth it as it is so robust and well made and has the over head cam engine. I would highly recomend this product as I can't wait till the lawn needs mowing again!!!
