Book Description

31 Mar 2010 Essential Buyer's Guide Series
Two bikes represent Honda's most important contribution to road motorcycle development - the CB400F and CB750. The latter was the first affordable four-cylinder bike, setting new standards of performance, reliability and comfort. The former became a classic in its own right, a small lightweight four that was many riders' first bike.

3.0 out of 5 stars Interesting, but... 6 Dec 2011

Having this in my CB400/4 library is good for completeness, but it is perhaps the least important and valuable book I have on this topic. It's quite a small book and rather sparse on information. Several of the photos are of bikes that have suffered from rather nasty paint jobs, etc., hardly good illustrations for collectors. The section on things to check/watch out for when buying one of these classic bikes was somewhat shallow, and omitted some of the major things that those of us who have owned one have encountered. Overall, the book left me wondering how well the author actually knew the subject.
3.0 out of 5 stars Small, basic guide to the CB-series of bikes 9 Jun 2013

First-off, this is a much smaller book than I was expecting. It would be a good beginners guide to the CB-series of bikes. I did learn a few things I did not know before, but there is nothing in-depth relating to these bikes.
3.0 out of 5 stars Limited Value 29 July 2010

Limited narrative, cookie cutter approach similar to other volumes, common sense is what is covered . Not recommended for the price.
