Honda 500 Four,

This review is from: Honda CB 350-550 1972-1978: Clymer Workshop Manual (Clymer Motorcycle Repair Series) (Paperback)
The Clymer manual is very easy to understand and full of handy tips and reminders , the graphics enhance the understanding of the written guidance enabling the most basic of mechanical DIYers to attempt competant maintenance and repair/replacements. The quick reference data pages , which include tightening torques , spark plug types , tyre pressures etc makes this the first reference book I reach for in my garage.
I am a middle aged Taxi driving Londoner with an average knowledge of mechanics , but with the aid of this manual I would certainly attempt most jobs with a degree of confidence .

Vintage Honda repair manual,
By Chris Testerman - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Honda CB 350-550 1972-1978: Clymer Workshop Manual (Clymer Motorcycle Repair Series) (Paperback)
This manual is a must for anyone with a SOHC/4 Honda from the 70's. It is full of useful information on repairs and maintenance procedures. Great pictures and step-by-step instructions on everything from adjustments to washers. It's the Haynes manual for the motorcycle world, very informative and nesessary when working on an older four cylinder bike.

This is a standard reference book for working on these classic bikes. If you're going to own one, you should have this book, the Haynes manual, and a copy of the Honda factory manual. The more illustrations and explanations you have, the better.

This has helped me out considerably when working on my '77 CB550K. Just a word of warning: There were some changes made to the bikes for the '77-78 years which are not covered in this manual. Most notably, the carbs on the bike are different. Any other differences seem to be minor. Nonetheless, I can't imagine not owning this manual.
