The thing to remember about the Strypes is that they are still very young: The lead singer Ross Farrelly (who is creditied with writing this song and their previous hit "Blue Collar Jane) is only 15 and Bass player Pete O'Hanlon and drummer Evan Walsh are both 16 and the grandaddy of the group, lead guitarist Josh McClorey is a venerable 17.
This is a great song, an ode to teenage angst and shyness around girls. This band have a well deserved reputation as a fearsome force as a live act and that live chemistry has transfered to this recorded work. The musicianship is first class with the watertight rhythm section driving the song along underneath Josh's superb guitar work. Terrific.
