This book has been produced as a result of hours of painstaking research. Every track that has ever hosted speedway is in this book. Even down to the track built at the back of Pinewood studios for the shooting of a film! I was surprised to see over 300 venues have hosted the sport since it came to Britain in 1928. If I were to nitpick maybe a few more photo's ( and there are some on nearly every page ) and more description of the stadiums, but I surpose it would then have been well over the 300 pages! Every fan should have a copy of this book, and tick off the tracks they have visited.

I have been a speedway supporter for many years, also a ex rider,i didnt no there was so many stadiums,in this book,if only there was more stadiums about today.I think it would be bigger than football, the book is a great book of interest it would be nice to go and visit some of the sites, but probally property developers have built on them. Its a big shame, for speedway, buy the book you wont disapointed.

This book is an absolute must for speedway fans in terms of discovering just where and when speedway racing was staged at any given venue in the UK.

This is a great book . I bought it for my late father , a life-long speedway fan . He loved it - he knew a frightning number of the tracks featured in their heyday . Back in my hands I didn't read it for ages but I'm glad I did . This really is a little gem of a book . I had no idea so many tracks had exsisted , from plush stadiums to dirt poor bullrings . Wonderful stuff , a sheer delight!!!!!!
