Organic cosmetic has become very popular due to the fact it is absolutely free of synthetic chemicals. Only natural ingredients including flowers, herbs, essential oils and roots are used by manufacturers. Natural or organic skincare means use of botanically sourced cosmetics which is rich in proteins, vitamins and amino acids making our skin soft and beautiful. For example, chamomile has anti-inflammatory and healing properties. Creams and masks containing it are recommended for sensitive and thin skin. But organic skincare is more than use of natural cosmetics.

It also means drinking about 3 liters of water every day and  eating organic food rich in vitamins such as vitamin A, E, C, etc. These vitamins are vital for our health and health of our skin. As for vitamin E, it is in sunflower seeds, vegetable oils, peanuts, hazelnuts, broccoli, almonds, etc. Vitamin A is in carrot, tomatoes, cherries, strawberries, watermelons, apricots, etc.
As for skincare regime, it includes toning, cleansing, conditioning routines and daily moisturizing. If you have become interested in organic skincare, be very careful buying cosmetics. Read a label and make sure there are no synthetic ingredients in it. Some manufacturers write the word "natural", but in fact it is nowhere near the truth. For example, some manufacturers use diethanolamine to extract cocamide-DEA from coconut oil. Cosmetics containing it cannot be called natural or organic. Moreover this synthetic chemical is proved to cause such disease as cancer.
Some women prefer home-made masks made for really organic ingredients. If you are not one of them, buy cosmetics with a logo which guarantees integrity of the product. Organic cosmetics of high quality contains about 95% of organic ingredients. The rest is water and some non-organic ingredients.
Though, water is contained in every product. So, in fact there will be more water in the product. Remember, quality of your skin depends on quality of cosmetics. Buy only certified and high quality organic cosmetics.

4.0 out of 5 stars Skincare products made at home, 13 Jan 2012
By S. Warfield - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Homemade Skin Care Recipes (Kindle Edition)
Nicole Adam has done a good job with her skin care recipes in her book, "Homemade Skin Care Recipes."

Most of the recipes for cleansers, exfoliants, masks, and moisturizers call for ingredients that are not hard to find, or they are probably already in the home. Adam makes the same point that my dermatologist makes, and that is that just because something is expensive doesn't mean it's good or even does what it's advertised to do. If the anti-aging products really worked that well, the companies that make them would be out of business.

Adam has some solutions for nail care, hair care and acne-prone skin. She is very careful to avoid anything that has a lot of chemicals or certain chemicals that can be harmful or even carcinogenic. Her bath exfoliants and facial exfoliants, for the most part, are very easy to make, using either table salt, sugar or brown sugar and olive oil or certain other oils she recommends. Adding some essential oil drops, such a lavender, makes the scent very nice.

This is a short book of recipes for skin care, but it's worth trying just to see if these are as good or better than commercially made products.

5.0 out of 5 stars I already see fewer wrinkles, 19 Jan 2012
By Valerie Balon - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Homemade Skin Care Recipes (Kindle Edition)
This is a very helpful book that really will help you look and feel younger. I have tried just about every anti-aging and skin care product available on the market with little to no results. All the products out there promise the world and don't deliver so I feel like they ripped me off. This product is different, it delivers what it promises and I appreciate that.

I have been using this product for a couple of months now and I am already seeing the results. Less wrinkles and a healthier glow has had people asking me what my secret is. I know it's working if people are asking that. The recipes are very easy to make and very inexpensive which is good for me on a low budget. The healthy eating tips are something you don't normally see included with a skin care book and I am glad they did because I have even lost some weight since I have been eating healthier.
