If you enjoyed the series, whether or not you could live with all the designs in your own garden, this book gives an excellent insight into Diarmuid's thought processes behind the overall schemes. There are interesting suggestions on how to create suitable designs including good ideas for types and uses of plants you may not have previously considered. There is a good balance between the description of the briefs, the thinking behind the designs, and the excellent photographs that do the gardens more justice than even the series managed. If you want to incorporate some unusual elements into your garden (even if not to Dairmuid's scale) this book certainly gives you much to think about.
