Filmed and recorded in 2002, twenty years after their last official live set, Snaz (SALVOMDCD18), this package captures Nazareth back on home turf, tearing through a sensational set of hits and live favourites. The intimate setting of Glasgow s Garage is the perfect venue for an up-close appreciation of this legendary rock group. On CD and DVD with surround sound, the technology may have changed but Nazareth remain as powerful and impressive as ever. Founder members Dan McCafferty and Pete Agnew are joined by Pete's son Lee on drums, the impressive Jimmy Murrison on guitar and Ronnie Leahy (keyboards), who all help to freshen up certified classics like Razamanaz, Holiday, Bad Bad Boy, Hair Of The Dog, Dream On and Love Hurts. Over a decade on, it remains business as usual for McCafferty, the Agnews and Murrison. The line-up may be different to that which cut their classic early albums, but the band play and tour as hard as they ever did if not harder. Be sure to view the interviews in the bonus section of the DVD, in which the group explain their motivations for continuing to do what they do so expertly. This live souvenir serves to remind us all that age is no hindrance when you ve got this much talent and dedication, not to mention a wealth of great songs.
