What a great cook book with some super, different and interesting recipes in. I have tried a few of them now, they are easy to follow, and totally delicious.
I loved the Three-Cup Chicken, the Dragon Phoenix Legs, and the Braised Pork Belly is a winner, can't wait to try some of the other recipes.
The description of each dish is really interesting, the photography is very good and having a photo for each recipe is a huge bonus.
The Glossary is helpful and I also love the illustrations, what a talented lady.
I can certainly recommend this book, great recipes and easy to follow.

How the book is made is so inviting to try something right away. Did not know where to start first. It is so nice to get the additional info like background stories about the chefs family and where the recipes come from. Like a story book of a Taiwanese family combined with a cook book. And the illustrations made by the chef as well are a nice treat in between reading. The Salad Boat Sandwiches for example are finally something different to ordinary sandwiches. The bread rolls are amazing. And the Minced Pork rice - just incredible. When you have a good Chinese supermarket in you town the ingredients are no problem. Looking forward to making the next one: Stir-Fried Lamb with Spinach and BBQ Sauce.

I've been to Taiwan a few times and absolutely love the food there so when I discovered this book I found to my delight the dishes were exactly like ones I had eaten in Taiwan. The photography is really lovely, illustrations cute and colourful but most importantly the recipes are easy to follow. I also like that some of the recipes have stories behind them.

If you want to try "real" Taiwanese food and like colourful but interesting cook books then I can't recommend enough

It was a good starter book for all the many flavors of Taiwanese cooking. It helped me get some of the seasonings going. And fortunately I could find most of them in the Asian Markets, here in the Seattle area.
tasty! 30 May 2015

I've tried 5 or 6 recipes and it's really easy to follow. Most of the flavors are authentic.
For the ingredients, recommend readers to be near an Asian market. But there are a lot of recipes in here that don't require fancy ingredients.

Unfortunately the digital version doesn't work at all and keeps crashing my Kindle. Should have bought the paperback instead.
