TREY ELLIS CAPTURED MY FANCY AND RETOLD MY YOUTH AND THAT OF MILLIONS OF BOYS WHO GREW UP IN THE '70's. THE PREP SCHOOL EXEPERIENCE, THE SHYNESS AROUND PUBESCENT GIRLS, THE ADULT JOB SEARCH, HE MAKES IT REAL. THE FILM "THE INKWELL" WAS DISNEY'S FEEBLE EFFORT TO TURN THIS BOOK INTO A MOVIE. I RECOMMEND THIS NOVEL TO ANYONE OF EITHER GENDER WHO HAS EVER HAD A CRUSH ON SOMEONE. B. BAYNE, AUTHOR OF "SKY KINGS".

Trey Ellis spills adolescence, sex and multiple romances into a brilliant diary-autobiographical stew. The main character, Austin McMillan plays off of life in small towns and big cities and draws you into each lustful journey and boyish imaginations. I can't wait for his next work which is his third book, Right Here, Right Now. Kudos!

Trey Ellis is a great writer. Read him. Why is he not more well-known? This is a coming of age story that revolves a young black kid and his trials and tribulations with the opposite sex. A great funny read. Also pick-up "Platitudes" by the same author.
