Not seen on tv since chris evans let them loose on a st paddys' day TFI special, the hot house flowers still proved that they could mix soul, rock and a dose of irish charm and create very good music, this album perhaps their best collecion has something for everyone. From slow melodic love songs such as 'sweet marie' to 'give it up' a rocky soul classic with a strong message in the lyrics backing up the well written music. Thereis even a version of 'i can see clearly now' which still sends shivers!! if you love rock, soul, gospel, irish folk, man if you love music please check it out!! if only for the singers voice and that amazing sax player!

The Hotties are long gone, but this album, their greatest legacy, should remain for years, Liam has a great voice, but the rest of the band can match it with their instruments, From the superb intro of "Hardstone City" to "Water" with the best "1,2,3,4" on record for years, Home just rocks your soul. Essential.

What Passion! 11 July 2006
By Sunrise
Format:Audio CD
Just read the other two reviews and was also reminded what a fabulous album this is. It's a close run thing between this and Songs from the Rain as the Flowers best album. What the Flowers did on these albums was to just convey a shear love of music, every track has such passion. And what are they playing? Folk? Rock? Well, their Irish roots certainly come across loud and clear. If money were no object, this is the band you'd hire for any party! Standout tracks? Well most certainly 'I can see clearly now' which is THE definitive version hands down. Other joys include 'Hardstone City', 'Movies' and 'Water'. A wonderful, wonderful album from some very talented men.
