The hardest (and potentially messiest) part of this test is obtaining an appropriate stool sample: neither too hard nor too runny, and large enough to poke a small plastic rod into three distinct places. Said rod is then shaken in a test solution, two drops of which are placed into a small plastic widget. Five minutes later there should be an unambiguous result in the indicator panel of the widget.
My only significant criticism is the instruction leaflet, the print of which is smaller than my no longer young eyes were comfortable with.
