I decided to test myself as my husband had received the NHS kit at 60 yrs . I was 58 Yrs. The test was positive this lead to a visit to the GP and an urgent referral to a consultant and a Colonoscopy. This investigation proved I had polyps. I am now on a 3 year review for at risk patients. The polyps had cell changes. I believe that this test saved a possible colon cancer. The test was easy to use.

The hardest (and potentially messiest) part of this test is obtaining an appropriate stool sample: neither too hard nor too runny, and large enough to poke a small plastic rod into three distinct places. Said rod is then shaken in a test solution, two drops of which are placed into a small plastic widget. Five minutes later there should be an unambiguous result in the indicator panel of the widget.

My only significant criticism is the instruction leaflet, the print of which is smaller than my no longer young eyes were comfortable with.

It did not work, the supplier did not want to know, I also tried to follow up through Amazon but received no response so don't waste your money.
