EXCELLENT Teddy tale from award-winning, 20 Feb 2008
children's author/illustrator, Ian Beck.
Another classic storybook to delight all teddy lovers, young and old! However, a box of tissues may be required, but ....don't worry.....it ends happy ever after!
'Teddy Bears have such a quiet life, don't they?'......
....But we know what really happened, don't we?'
Ian Beck relates a story about Teddy who thinks he is getting left behind when Lily and her Mum go for a day in the park........but, horror of horrors Teddy does get left behind.....in the park......and life is a bit eventful for the poor bear, for a while!
From the back cover:-
`When Lily drops Teddy in the park one rainy day...he gets left behind. It's not easy being a little lost Teddy, cold and far from home. But Lily can't go to bed without him.
Teddy must get HOME BEFORE DARK....'
30 high quality pages, with superb large illustrations, throughout.
Enough words on each page, in a good-sized print, to be stimulating, but not over-powering.
Example of text:-
`They stayed a long time in the park. They played on the swings, and they fed the ducks. "It's getting late," said Mum, "and I think it might rain. Come on, we must get home before dark."
Lily was so tired she fell asleep. She cuddled Teddy but......Oh no, poor Teddy, Lily dropped him.
And so Mum and Lily set off home without Teddy....'
