Product Description

Product Description

The church as we know it took shape based upon a misunderstanding of Paul’s epistle to the Galatians. D. Thomas Lancaster makes the difficult words of Paul simple to understand in an easy-reading collection of sermons on the epistle from a Messianic Jewish perspective. His careful, Jewish reading of Galatians turns Christian interpretation upside down. Drawing on recent Pauline scholarship, The Holy Epistle to the Galatians completely reverses conventional interpretations, revealing Paul in continuity with Torah, Jewish tradition, and broader apostolic-era Judaism.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must read for Christians 2 Jun 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is a must read for Christians who want to get a better understanding of Galatians. It is easy to read and while it is not a commentary it is quite close. It is written from a Messianic Perspective and has loads of background to help fill in some of the blanks in the Epistle.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Messianic Jewish approach explaining what was going on at the time 4 Oct 2011
By Dennis P Lendzion - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
A must read for anyone dealing with Law vs. Grace argument. Mr. Lancaster explains from a Jewish perspective of what Paul was dealing with in reaching the gentiles for Christ. He breaks down each passage in Galatians and gives biblical reason why Paul wrote what he did. You will be able to explain who is under the law and who is under grace-CLEARLY! Mr. Lancaster also simple explains Paul's ministry ... who he was focused on...shows that his teachings e was under the apostle church leadership, and ties all his epistles together under one explanation. One of the clearest books I have read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally Found It 25 Dec 2011
By Messiachkin - Published on Amazon.com

For over 10 yrs now I knew in scripture and Spirit there had to be a "better" interpretation for Galatians than the one I was getting in my congregation. My God is not a God who contradicts himself, and I knew Paul was not schizophrenic. I pray that millions of "seekers of truth" in the Church will see the light in Lancaster's work as they read it along with Paul's epistle and the Holy Spirit. Also, I pray for the day Jew and Gentile Believers will truly be one as Paul and Yeshua prayed. Thank you and God Bless you Bro. Lancaster. And, thank you ABA...Bow Yeshua Bow!

5.0 out of 5 stars Desperately needed revelation 6 Sep 2011
By Cliff - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
Revelation certainly is progressive. What would have happened if the historical church understood Galatians correctly? Read it and consider that question for yourself. This is a phenomenal effort at explaining in clear terms what is probably the most misunderstood book of the Bible. And in my opinion, it succeeds.

If you are a believer who reads your Bible, this book will help you. It is academic without sounding academic. Give it a shot!

5.0 out of 5 stars An amazing rethinking of the Law 7 Sep 2013
By M. Travis Martin - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book, more so than any other book I have read, has clarified God's intent for the Law for the modern Protestant Christian believer. For years, I have wondered, "Does this law apply to me? What about this one?" Or maybe, "I think this law applies, but no longer in a literal sense." Now I understand completely the applicability of the whole Law. For each one, I now know the answer. EVERY Christian needs to read this book!
