As well as the full anglicized text of the New Revised Standard Version (NRSV) translation, this Bible contains a number of features specially designed to make it ideal for members of the Church of England.
It includes Prayer During the Day and Night Prayer, which gives users a short prayer to say during and at the end of their day.
It also includes a Lectionary of readings, giving two readings for every day of the year.
Until now, Anglicans needed three different books to go about their daily worship – a Bible, a prayer book, and a lectionary. Now they only need one.

Three books in one; a. an NRSV Bible, nothing added, nothing taken away. b. A way of reading it: a simple and practical lectionary, with well chosen readings for each day of the year, dated for ten years. c. Finally, two simple patterns of prayer to use with it, one for any time of day, and one for just before bed.
"The Bible" is above all the answer to the question "What will we read in our prayers?" The next question is: "What bits of it will I read when?" This book answers that, sensitively, with two not too long readings, chosen to stand alone, authorised from 2010. It then adds the jewel in the crown of current Church of England daily worship, the first service from the 'daily prayer' volume of 2005; a simple service, complete with ways to pray for all the world. Not too many words, and those well chosen.
This is the book I've been waiting for for ten years. In 2000, the Church of England dropped its Alternative Service book, which contained both lectionary and services, which had served us well for 20 years. It gave us 'Common Worship': not just a book, but a series of books. At the beginning of the 1662 Book of Common Prayer, there was an introduction which said that earlier services had taken as long to find out what you should be saying as actually saying them. Common Worship brought us back to the pre-1662 situation with a vengeance. When the 'daily prayer' volume arrived in 2005, we still needed a separate lectionary. Its Morning and Evening services are easiest said using a website which finds everything for you.
With 'Holy Bible ... with daily readings and prayers from the Church of England's Common Worship', I have everything I really need in a single volume.

If you are familier with the King James version of the Bible but like me, wish it was easier to read, then this is the Bible for you.
As you read through the verses and chapters it flows with ease. Coupled with the prayers and worship from the Church of England and the daily readings it is a great companion for Sunday Services ( though you don't have to be C of E to enjoy this version ). The print is just right to read, not too big, not too small very good on the eyes.
