5.0 out of 5 stars Lot of false reviews here.... 19 Feb 2013
First off let me say this is an excellent product IF USED AS THE INSTRUCTIONS STATE. Most of the negative reviews on here are by people who have either a. been ripped off by their garage and told they couldn't clean it out or b.ignored the instructions. I used this on my girlfriends car a few weeks back and if you get in the car immediately and drive at 30mph for ten miles, as stated on the can, then the tyre forms a perfect seal. Most of the people saying it doesn't work on here mention they drove a mile or watched it leak out - YOU HAVE TO FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS!!!!

As regards to the "can't repair a tyre with tyreweld" complaint, then the garage is pulling a fast one. I took the car to National Tyres as recommended by on the can and they cleaned it out and charged me 10 quid for a patch to fix the puncture. A lot of garages don't want you to use tyreweld as they make no money from a ten quid patch - they do make money from a 70 quid tyre. If you use this product and they tell you it can't be fixed then take your car elsewhere as they're ripping you off.

To summarise - this product does work if you follow the instructions. If you don't follow them, then it'll leak out everywhere and just go flat again. Working for a homecare company, it's amazing how many people don't read them! And take it to a decent garage - if it seals your tyre, then can repair it for cheap regardless of what they say.

A puncture forced me to stop on the hard driverside wheel. Fortunately I had a can of Tyreweld. With difficulty by stretching round from the front of the car I was able to use the Tyreweld.
I was disappointed that there was little pressure, some of the contents spewed out over, my hands, and it didn't inflate the tyre very much. However it was just enough for me to drive slowly, about one mile, to Kwikfit. The tyre was flat again as I reached their forecourt. There is no way of knowing how much pressure is in the can.
It was a very costly incident. The almost new punctured tyre could not be repaired, and had to be replaced, as I had used Tyreweld. I had to buy a new tyre. [[ASIN:B000Y8WB8W Holts HT3YA 400ml Tyreweld Emergency Puncture Repair.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent stuff 11 Sep 2009
I didnt buy my Tyreweld off of Amazon but just in a local garage. I had to use it with my Lotus elise as they dont come with a spare. The tyre was fully flat when I used it. It wont pump the tyre up from the can, but as soon as you start driving, it inflates the tyre a little (enough for you to get it to a garage and pump it up properly). Its been in the tyre for about 2 months and still doing the job well. As I dont drive the call all the time I have not got round to getting it properly repaired. It also says on the can not to exceed 50mph when using it, however I can say mine was fine at 60mph.
The only thing I found wrong with it was when using it quite a bit of the foam came out of the top over my hands, but still worked anyway.
