If you can handle two of the cheesiest American trainers ever, then this is actually a good product: three twenty-minute toning/strength routines that you are meant to do in rotation with your cardio and flex and core work. There is also some nutritional advice (which amounts to: don't eat rubbish, and graze rather than eat huge meals, and watch the amount of carb), but you can ignore that - I know I do! If you can't get hold of actual American toning programmes (I highly recommend the fabulous Tamilee Webb), then this isn't a bad substitute. Not deeply inspiring, true, but it is handy to have short routines that fit easily into yours and that do work the muscle groups they are meant to if you use your hand weights. Not bad at all.

The best thing about this video is that as it isnt too hard, you can easily do one of the 3 twenty minute workouts everyday. I have been combining this with a 30 min brisk walk everyday and feel so much better. Like the other reviews state, you couldnt really just do this on its own as its not that intense, but it feels good knowing that i completed a whole workout without giving up! The order of it isnt that great, one minute your getting cushions out for floor work then back up to weights then back again to floor and you kind of lose momentum. very good workout to do everyday!

I got my video from poundland in June 2005 for, you've guessed it, a pound!

For the past few months I've been running 3 miles at least 3 times per week, and i have the hot pants dvd, but wanted something that would help me tone (arms and stomach especially.) I tend to get bored of routine after a while and wanted something to add to and complement my current exercises. This dvd is brilliant. The presenters are cheesy but its actually quite funny, not annoying! I have only done the entire dvd 3 times but i really enjoy it. And it does make you sweat, it can be quite tough in places but its so easy to follow and i was able to do the entire dvd through first time. Saying that i was aching the following 2 days!! I use dumbells to add resistence, but you can just use bottles of water. Excellent DVD!! *****
