I do like a lot of Suss Cousins' designs given here - the book is worth getting if only for her Velma jumper and kooky Grinch ski hat - plus there are a few other nice designs too, all made with lovely yarn. However, Suss seems to be a bit of an egomaniac! Aside from what seems to be a belief that she personally is responsible for the new knitting revolution, there is just so much name-dropping of all her Hollywood pals in this book that it really starts to grate. This is reflected in the photos used to accompany the patterns as well: all too often, they focus far too much on the famous model (presumably they are famous in the US: the only one I recognised was Julianne Moore), and not enough on the piece I want to knit. I know what Julianne Moore looks like, but I'd really like a better shot of the cardigan she's in before I decide to make it, thanks!
