This is a very well written and documented work on the history of this fabulous gunmaking firm.
It is of course a must for everyone who is the lucky owner of one or more of their guns, and indeed for every
lover of fine guns, but is also a very fascinating book for everyone who is interested in a piece of social history.
It is a book about people, as much as it is about the wonderful things they made, and how they made and still
make them. Highly recommended.

This book, together with "BOSS & Co." "and "PURDEY - The Definitive History", must not miss in the library of a collector or keen on English guns, produced by Firms that have done the history of such weapons. The historical news are well documented and the photos of the weapons very beautiful. Besides, the references to the brevets and the factory data on characteristics, numbers of register, et cetera, are a possible and handy source when looking for rifles and shotguns on sale in the market of the used ones and in the auctions.
