I am a Frank Randle fan but the distorted sound made this DVD unwatchable
and only fit for the bin.

2.0 out of 5 stars Comedy doesn't time travel very well, 30 Jun 2008

I was a bit disappointed in this. Much of the comedy takes the form of 'business' by Frank Randle, but Two Ton Tessie is in good form. The supporting cast is good, the dance scene is interesting although the plot is a little contrived to include certain scenes. Worth while for the post war views of Blackpool, with real members of the public as a back drop.
The soundtrack was awful though - it was very distorted. Possibly just my copy?

1.0 out of 5 stars Dreadful, 19 April 2009
By Mr. Graham R. Dudley "graham1382" (United Kingdom) - See all my reviews

Quite frankly, this has to be one of the worst films I have ever watched! The acting is "wooden", the story so slow that it really doesn't ever get off the ground and the quality of the sound/picture, is apalling. (Obviously, one has to bear in mind its age).

From start to finish, I really couldn't get "into" this film; it was just too tedious and I now wish I hadn't added it to my collection.
