I had to take a Dremel to this to alow it to fit my canon strobes. It isn't that difficult but the advert is clearly misleading...

This unit does not fit CANON 430EX OR 580EX Which have a slight taper . I have purchased 2 of these for my 580 and 430 and had to file the flash shoe holder to make fit on both occasions not a big job you will need a metal file . but that done now they are doing what they were made to do very well.

This is incorrect. There is no 1/4" whitworth thread on this unit.

Does not fit Canon Flash guns
To cut to the chase this product does not do what it says. You can not fit canon 420 or 550 flash guns to it. Read more

Just about fits Canon flashguns - but only with some fettling!
Have to reiterate what other reviewers have said - this bracket doesn't fit a Canon flash foot as supplied (at least not the one on a 430 EXII). Read more

Mediocre product
The main body of the item is fine. It is solid and the ratchet mechanism is positive. This stops the head from slipping even if it is quite heavy. Read more

Disappointed
For the price this flash shoe holder is well made, but sadly it does not fit the Canon 580EX flash as advertised. In fact it does not fit any flash I own.

Does not fit Canon flash guns
Wish I'd read the reviews before ordering. Unit does not fit canon flash guns, as the base plate on these is too wide.

Flash shoe holder swivel
It was a bit like a jigsaw puzzle at first but I soon worked out what goes where when attaching it to a light stand and an umbrella. Seems to do the job nicely.
