This harmonica's great traditional sound originates from the wooden comb (body) which provides a sweeter tone. It is a good choice for playing the blues, as the cover plates have closed ends which help towards note 'bending'. Comes complete with a case.
This isn't my first diatonic harmonica but it's by far the best I have. The tone is full and bluesy, it's easy to play and it looks very nice. It fits very well in the hand and is easier to bend notes on than my other harps. I've had no issues with it all and it's a joy to play. All in all the Hohner Blues Harp is a buy I would highly recommend to all harp players, beginner or otherwise.
This is the harmonica to buy. It's inexpensive but easily one of the best. Great tone, construction and easy to play clean clear notes and bends well. If you want to spend less, look at the Hohner marine band. I have a lot of harmonicas and my only advice is DO NOT bother with those harps at £5 or less. They are rubbish, difficult to play and never produce a good tone and often little volume.
