Synopsis

Walking out on his family 20 years ago and into a life on the railroads, an old hobo (Barnard Hughes) caused a bitter rift between himself and his family, especially with his son Charlie, who wants nothing to do with his homeless father. However it's Christmas, and the old man's back in town – what better time is there to heal past wounds?

A true Christmas film. A good 'weepy' at the end. The whole family can sit down and enjoy this film from start to finish. The re-building of the father-son relationship is progressed at a realistic level.
THIS IS A FILM TO START THE CHRISTMAS PERIOD!!!

It is a real family film, it is great to watch every year, I suppose like many films the ending is predictable but who cares I think its lovely. The only thing that I have found is that when I originally watched this on TV it was the Reigon 1 version, because the Reigon 2 version has less run time, which is quite sad really.
