Simply attach the hand held Salter Luggage Scale to the handle of your luggage using the strap, lift the luggage off the floor using the scale handle grip and wait a couple of seconds for the beep which tells you the scale has registered the weight. Then put the lugagge back on the floor and check the LCD reading on the lugggage scale - easy! The scale weighs up to 40kg in 100g increments meaning it has a host of other uses and its compact design means it will fit easliy into your luggage and travel with you anywhere.

What nobody seems to tell you about this nifty little scale is that it itself weighs only 154gr, less than a small paperback and light enough to put in your suitcase to weigh it again for the journey home. Enjoy!

This cleverly designed little weighing scale is so simple to use. No more trying to balance a suitcase on my bathroom scales or holding the case and then deducting my weight. And, I took it with me on holiday so that I could be sure not to carry any excess weight on my return journey home. With airlines now being so restrictive on baggage allowance, the fear of being charged an excess fee can be eliminated. So much less expensive to dispose of books you've read, bottles of shampoo, suntan lotion etc. before returning home when you know what weight your luggage is before leaving.

Pros:
Compact design. Lightweight and very comfortable to hold, even with heavy luggage. Easy to read scale can be viewed from above, but anyway the reading is held for one minute or can be reset at any time. I've checked its readings over the range: accuracy is very good. The built-in webbing strap is well designed to quickly clip around any shape of luggage handle. Battery compartment very accessible. Battery can be replaced quickly without a screwdriver. Cons: Can't think of any ! except that the scale reading could do with a second or two additional delay time to allow weight to settle. It's a bit over-enthusiastic to hold its reading, so I would recommend taking a few additional reset readings to fully confirm your luggage weight. Often the first one is indicated as too light. Make sure that there is no tension on the weighing strap when resetting though, or you will get a false reading. You soon get used to its quirks. After all, it's going to save you a lot of money in overweight penalty fees. Overall: Excellent value for money, easy to use and accurate. Wouldn't be without it. A MUST to take with you, to avoid overweight bags on the return trip.
