This puzzle is from the world's leading Japanese puzzle creator Nikoli Hitori. It is for logic puzzle fans who want to pitch their wits against the best. There is a huge thirst for new Japanese puzzles. Hitori is in the style of Sudoku and Kakuro - but much tougher. Like Su Doku, Hitori is a number-logic game. Designed for the dedicated puzzler, each Hitori comes complete with traps to snare. Each cell in the Hitori 16-cell grid is filled by a number. Your task is to 'paint' out the incorrect numbers. You begin by identifying cells where the same number is repeated. You work out which is the 'real' number by applying the rules - and carry on! Beginners find Hitori very tough, but once the rules of the game are understood, the enjoyment in solving these puzzles is immense.
