Easy to use.Very impressed with the picture. Main problem is that when the unit closes down, after recording a preset programme , the television switches on. The only way to avoid this happening is to unplug the television.

Could be good... 28 Mar 2012
Quite a nice little box. Easy set up, and easy to use. And it goes to low power standby, which only uses 1 watt, which is nice and green, BUT....during the night, (3am) it switches on to update, and it STAYS ON instead of going back to standby. And it does the same after it's recorded a preset recording; STAYS SWITCHED ON. Consequently the 12v mains adaptor gets pretty warm. No thanks..
I tried Hitachi for an answer, but they didn't reply to my email. No more Hitachi for me
