This is an awesome piece of kit and definitely blows it's competitors out of the water! I converted from WD Passports as I had one becoming corrupt and found that the Hitachi HD G-Drive would be the perfect partner for my new Mac Book Pro! I've partitioned it to enable it to be used on both my mac and Windows machine.
The build of this product is rock solid and will definitely assure you that your content/ data is safe. It's clean sleek look is attractive which only compliments the the product further!
I cannot stress the recommendation enough for this product, this is a great investment that will keep your data safe giving you that security which other brands were not able to before.

The hard drive is of excellent quality. Just make sure if you want to get the firewire one, which cost more, you order that one. I didn't notice the difference until I got my USB which still does the job, just tiny slowly.
Neat, compact and cool looking. This well built unit is good value and works very well with Apple. No mains power lead required as it takes power from the USB, which although reasonable speed is nowhere as quick as my fire wire. Still, once the backup is done future backups are not too bad. I recommend this unit.
