The Hitachi DB10DL 10.8V cordless screwdriver drill is a lightweight and extremely compact tool designed for screwdriving and light drilling in confined areas. A trigger operated LED spotlight makes this an ideal tool for use in low light conditions. 21 torque settings make the DB10DL ideal for driving screws into many different materials and the spindle lock feature allows final tightening to be done accurately.
The 6.35mm (1/4") bit holder accepts most standard driver bits and hex ended drill bits. A handy warning lamp lets you know when your battery needs recharging.
The lightweight Lithium-Ion batteries hold their charge for longer, which means there is no discernible loss of performance throughout the battery charge. The batteries also contain unique protection circuitry to prevent damage from overloading, overcharging and high discharging; this gives Hitachi Lithium-Ion batteries up to 260% longer service life than similar batteries.
Lithium-Ion batteries contain no harmful cadmium, making them better for the environment. Also, Hitachi Lithium-Ion batteries have an extremely low self-discharge rate. If a battery is not used, the battery charge will drop by only 5% in 40 days; this means less energy is required to recharge it.
The DB10DL comes complete with a two 1.5Ah Lithium-Ion batteries, a 40 minute charger, driver bit and carrying case.

This is a cracking bit of equipment, which will make tasks easier and quicker to complete. Two batteries are pretty much an essential for all cordless drivers but these batteries take longer to run down, and are quicker to charge; and the driver is very powerful and therefore quicker to get jobs done with. The LED light is very handy, and the keyless chuck is very good - no pesky hand-wrenching tightening required. The size of the driver is the biggest plus of all - I have recurrent tendonitis which makes manual screwdriving very difficult and managing large cordless drivers awkward and this model ticks all the boxes, however I choose to look at it. Great tool and this price is a lot less than most stores, and it`s hard to believe that any of the more expensive Dewalt products are better.

could not belive how powerful this was it is half the size of my old one. light to the hand gets in small places .will put three inch screws with easy,yet is just as much at home on small electiric screws .i use it all the time just one last point the batterys last realy well on one charge.

Up a ladder on a Monday evening putting up plasterboard, realising that my old Black & Decker is not holding it's charge and is not up to to job. Ordered this Hitachi at about 7.00pm. Arrived at 9.45am next morning. Brilliant. Great bit of kit - and two batteries, so I need never stop! But I've finished my job and no sign of the first charge being used up yet.
