INCLUDES OVER AN HOUR OF UK EXCLUSIVE BONUS CONTENT

When Nirvana burst onto the scene in 1991, the music they played spoke directly to an angry and disenfranchised generation. Grunge took over MTV and radio overnight… but just three years later, the drug-related deaths of several musicians and the suicide of Kurt Cobain closed the books on an all too brief era.

Patty Schemel, the acclaimed drummer for Courtney Love's seminal rock band Hole, was in the middle of all of it. The openly gay woman who always felt different never dreamed she would be in a multi-platinum band, touring with legends… or that, thanks to drug addiction, she could lose it all. Given a video camera just before Hole's infamous Live Through This world tour, Patty filmed everything; the shows, the parties, and startlingly intimate footage of Kurt and Courtney. This footage has never been seen...until now.

As a rock fan myself, I was pleased to see Hit So Hard had come out in the UK on DVD. After reading about the film online and seeing it's US release, I am glad that I can get the film myself (it is already preordered!). HSH follows Patty Schemel from the 90's rock band, Hole, Courtney Love's band. The documentary follows her during one of the bands tours together and features exclusive footage never seen before. It's a great insight into the lives of these rock stars and its amazing to see Kurt Cobain again on screen. This really does appeal to all the rock fans I would say! Also, I am excited about getting my UK release because there are the exclusive UK bonus extras, with more footage - want this release to hurry up!

Interesting film .. more a documentary than a biography .. Good to see more people that were not major stars doing this kind of thing. They have probably had more interesting lives than a lot of the cosetted stars anyway.

Some interesting footage of the band, overall to self centered to the point of being boring. Only for hardcore fans....

A wicked little documentary that is well worth watching. A sensitive and interesting insight into music from that era and an indepth access to Patty Schemel - someone who often gets overlooked in the shadow of Courtney Love
