Synopsis

Best of Lee Evans, - as a character actor. He WAS the Mr Polly that I imagined as I read the H.G.Wells novel some 40 years ago. A truly believable character, he tries to better his situation in life with a rather devious illegal act but it all goes wrong and he emerges as the Hero of the Hour!
Having learnt his lesson (one hopes) his life now improves.
This is a marvellous story, acted to perfection by all the cast members.
