Book = History of Britain KS2 The Saxons and Vikings by Brenda Williams. ISBN-0-600-58211-6
The book was first published in 1994, there is an updated version. The 1994 version is informative and very interesting. Historical facts very well presented. Would recommend it. Bought a copy for my nephew - I wanted to keep it. Good illustrations. Of course I am looking at this from an Adult's point of view, but felt it I would have enjoyed it as a child.
