Good for travelers to Namibia 17 Sept. 2008
By Paul S - Published on
Format: Paperback
I'd strongly recommend this book for people traveling to Namibia who want to learn more about the different tribes in that country and the impact the liberation struggle had on different leaders and laypersons in that country. Of great interest are interviews that highlight SWAPO's treatment of Namibians in Angolan internment camps during the war during the "spy crisis". Hearing directly from Namibians is a great way to learn more about the country, it's recent history and it's tribal divisions. I'd follow reading this book with Colin Leys' "Namibian Liberation Struggle".

I can relate to these stories and am happy to read what other people's experiences were and how they survived. Quite an interesting book. Enjoyed reading it.
