This was a hugh disappointment to me.I bought it for the Linda Howard name not realising this was a reprint of Loving Evangeline.It was a good book for its time,early 90's but her writing has evolved with the years to something fuller and as I have my original copy I did not need another one.

I didnt realise until I got this book that it was a reprint of Loving Evangeline. I wasnt disappointed. My old copy of this book is dog eared from so many readings that its nice to have another copy. Robert Cannon is absolutely my favourite of Ms Howards hero's. I agree with other readers that Ms Howards writing has moved on and improved and I love all her books, but still the incredibly alpha Robert Cannon is my favourite as is the smart and resourceful Evangeline. If you like your heros tough and uncompromising, intense and sexual, and your heroines smart and vulnerable then this book is a must.

I had already read Linda Howard's book, originally out in 1994, (they got me with the new title and I did not read the copyright dates carefully enough!) but I was pleasantly surprised to read Allison Leigh's book One More Change. She shows great promise and I look forward to other Turnabout Island books.

I always read Linda Howard and Loving Evangeline was as great as expected. Not expected was the equally enjoyable story by Allison Leigh; now I'll be looking for more stories by her, too!

I liked both stories quite well! Howard's was better, i'm a big fan of hers! I've never read a allison leigh book before...she's not half bad!! I'm pretty skeptical about chosing new authors to try out, but her's was worth it. enjoy
