His Princess (Men of Valor) [Kindle Edition]

I lurve Kiru Taye's writing because I love romance novels but do not have the time to read huge novels. Her books are the right size for the weekend for a busy working mother such as myself and so, I eagerly awaited the release of this book.

I immediately dug in once I purchased it, after some technical challenges and limitations.

I immediately liked Prince Emeka, what is not to like? A sensitive wealthy man of authority who wanted to do right?

I also liked Ezinne for even though she seemed disadvantaged in her station, she had a sense of self which made her relationship (albeit burgeoning) believeable.

The star of this book though is Kiru, in her telling of it. Very few books manage to hold my attention and surprise my imagination throughout, to the very end and she did! In this book, she assures me that while she wants to tantalize my senses, she will engage my mind as well.

The story was believeable (that word again!) without being predictable! I found the book so engaging, I went from my PC to my phone to read surreptitiously when my hubby asked if I wasn't coming to bed. This book made it easy for my imagination to construct the dwellings and attires and almost taste the meals being served.

I have a grouse with the editing, a better job could have been done, still, takes nothing away from this very 'delish' story.

There's less eroticism also which I can live with.

In all, I just love it! Great read!

I'm ENJOYING this author's VIVID imagination...once again I'm CAUGHT UP in the INTRIGUING suspense surrounding Prince Emeka, his wife Princess Nonye and her servant girl Ezinne...the UNEXPECTED and destined romance between Emeka and Ezinne is HEARTWARMING...but it all concludes ENTIRELY too soon...however I'm still EAGERLY anticipating the next book in this ENGAGING series!
