4 year old Grandson loves all the Thomas story books and this has been read at least 20 times. The format is a way of linking words to pictures.

My 3 year old son loves the Hiro of the rails film. He adores the Hiro character and can't get enough of the shortened version in this book either.
Beware that, compared with the film, this is an extremely condensed version.
The story centres around Hiro a famously lost engine, found by Thomas during a race with Spencer. All the Sodor engines help fix Hiro but Spencer is watching and eventually finds out what they're up to. In a race to tell the Fat Controller what is going on, Spencer crashes and Thomas gets come clean to the big man. The Fat Controller can't believe Hiro "The Master of the Railway" has been found and promptly fixes him.
Great illustrations and a book tough enough to stand up to your child's abuse!
My boy can't get enough Hiro! Recommended.

My 2 1/2 year old son has only seen Hiro a couple of times on TV so I thought the book of his initial story would be a great edition to his ever growing library.
