So i thought great! this looks like it would help my little ones head as he bumps its so hard in his cot!
First off they where very expensive! when they arrived i looked at them and they are suposed to be large but looked very small i manged to get them on 2 cornors of the cot..... but still heard little one bumping his head! i would say for that price there should have been alot more than 6. Another thing my baby can rip them off the bars! So all in all they are to expensive, not enough of them, not padded enough and they can be ripped off very easy! I wish i didnt fork out that much money!

Verified Purchase
My little one (5 months) kept banging his head on the bars of his cot. This was so loud it would wake me over the monitor (and I'm a heavy sleeper) and he was waking screaming with lumps on his head! I spoke to the Health Visitor and they said that bumpers shouldn't be used once they start rolling/sitting etc (why are they still being sold!?) so I was at a loss as to what to do. I discovered these on Amazon and after one nights use it has transformed night times. I went in this morning and yet again he was against the bars but sleeping peacefully thanks to the cushioned wraps, but at the same time still allowing the air to flow. There are two different sizes which I googled the manufacturer and looked at their specs ([...]). I have a standard cot bed with white flat bars, which are 4cm across. The large fitted perfectly and would fit bigger or smaller bars thanks to the velcro strips. The small size has 8 wraps and the large has 6, however as the large covers 2 bars it in effect covers up to 12 bars at one time, which can be moved as and when he grows. I've put a single wrap around two bars and doubled up on the bars he's most keen on aiming for. The 6 wraps come in 3 patterns (2 of each), would be nice to have the option of all of them matching. As an extra note, we have our mattress propped up due to his reflux and theres still more than enough room for these around the bars(even doubled up). As he develops and the mattress is lowered then these can just sit lower on the bars so hopefully they won't aid any night time climbing activities. I'm really happy with this purchase and would recommend.

I'm amazed no-one else has thought of these! They are a great idea, allowing me to see my baby and be confident he won't roll himself into a corner and get stuck under the bumper. I would have preferred a plain white option as my son is wildly distracted by colours at the moment but at least the colours are calm and subtle and the price is very high but on the whole, a good buy.

The bumpsters were a great alternative to the wrap around bumpers and I have found I only need to use 2 so far. When I went to purchase a bumper before my baby was born I was told by the sales assistant that they aren't advised because of air flow restriction (not quite sure why they were selling them really if they were telling people not to buy them!) so when my baby started bumping his head on the bars of his crib I was a bit worried about how I could protect his head without a bumper. After tying some muslins round a couple of bars I found these online. They have been really handy. It's great they cover 2 bars as I find my baby actually likes to rest is forehead on it anyway when he sleeps, so it gives him enough of a soft side cushion without his nose being pressed against anything. I have put 2 on top of each other as I still felt his head was banging harder than I'd like. The velcro sticks nice and securely as well. I initially wondered if there were enough per pack, but it has been fine because he only tends to aim for 1-2 bars on one side. When he moves to his big cot I might need the rest of them when I find out where he's going to aim his head! One negative is the price but I guess you pay for the good idea and the fact they are made individually (rather than one big bumper). Be great if they had more colours too.

We got these because my wife was nervous of the strangulation hazard of bumpers that tie to the cot. Each bumpster is basically a small piece of quilting with a velco strip so it can wrap around something and attach. Its fine for what it does, but the price is high for the few items you get, and the items themselves don't adjust very well. I.e. unless you have cot bars that are exactly the right size, there will be a lot of wasted material. I reckon you would need 3 or 4 packs to completeley cover a standard cot. We got one pack and placed them in the areas we though most vulnerable, and that has worked ok. Also with movement the bumpsters tend to slip down the sides of the mattress and get stuck there, and so cover less of the 'danger area'.

We chose the bumpsters rather than full-length cot bumpers as these seem to have been associated with the risk of suffocation. I am expecting our first child in 2 months time, so I can't comment on the efficacy of this product (i.e. will it prevent baby from bumping his head). However, the bumpsters have a good feel to them and look nice. My only qualms are with the price. We bought the larger set, which comes with 6 bumpsters, but these cover only a small area of the bed (especially if you have 3 on each side). If our baby turns out to be super active, he'd have to aim pretty accurately to hit the bumpsters rather than the cot bars. In other words, we could have done with buying two packs, but have opted against this due to the steep price. I'll hold out on my final verdict until I see whether they work or not.
