Hills Prescription Diet C/D Feline Cat Food Ocean Fish 1.5kg
Specially formulated for the nutritional management of cats with urinary tract disease associated with struvite (urinary crystals).
Urinary tract disease can be caused by the build up of crystals and stones in the urinary tract, causing painful and bloody urination, and can potentially block the urethra.
There are two common types of crystals that can form in a cat's urinary tract, which are struvite and oxalate. Hills C/D Feline is formulated to provide nutritional management of cats with struvite related urinary tract diseases. Struvite crystals are normally formed subsequent to urine that is saturated with magnesium, ammonium and phosphorus, combined with an alkaline urinary pH.
Hills C/D Feline contains lower salt levels to help maintain an improved kidney function and health, and helps to neutralise free radicals as it also contains a high level of antioxidants.
Ingredients:
With Ocean Fish (minimum 8%): Ground rice, maize gluten meal, chicken and turkey meal, animal fat, tuna meal, flaxseed, digest, potassium chloride, DL-methionine, fish oil, calcium carbonate, potassium citrate, taurine, salt, L-tryptophan, vitamins and trace elements. Contains EU approved antioxidant.
Not suitable for:
Kittens
Pregnant or lactating queens
Cats currently being treated with urinary acidifiers
Cats with non struvite urolithaisis or crystalluria

This is necessary for our cat who has crystals in her urine and until now have been getting from the vet(at great expense as it prescription only!) so am delighted that I can now buy on line...whoop whoop!!
